The International Symposium on Information Theory and its Applications (ISITA), one of the major conferences in the information theory community, was founded in 1990
and has since been held every two years, i.e., ISITA1990 (Honolulu, USA), ISITA1992 (Singapore), ISITA1994 (Sydney, Australia), ISITA1996 (Victoria, Canada),
ISITA1998 (Mexico City, Mexico), ISITA2000 (Honolulu, USA), ISITA2002 (Xian, China), ISITA2004 (Parma, Italy), ISITA2006 (Seoul, Korea), and ISITA2008 (Auckland, New Zealand).
Coincidentally, the International Symposium on Spread Spectrum Techniques and Applications (ISSSTA) was also founded in 1990 and has since been held every two years,
i.e. ISSSTA1990 (London, UK), ISSSTA1992 (Yokohama, Japan), ISSSTA1994 (Oulu, Finland), ISSSTA1996 (Mainz, Germany), ISSSTA1998 (Sun City, South Africa), ISSSTA2000 (Parsippany, USA),
ISSSTA2002 (Prague, Czech Republic), ISSSTA2004 (Sydney, Australia), ISSSTA2006 (Manaus, Brazil), and ISSSTA2008 (Bologna, Italy). The year of 2010 marks the 20-year anniversary of both ISITA and ISSSTA, and we are proud to host the joint symposia in Taichung, Taiwan.
We would like to invite all friends and colleagues to join us in celebrating this milestone event.
